Heart FM and Britain’s Got Talent star Amanda Holden says it’s “like an insult” after her husband and colleagues branded her “difficult”.
The revelation came after Amanda’s Heart FM co-star Ashley Roberts revealed on today’s show that Taylor Swift’s beau Travis Kelce is planning to go “all out” for her birthday.
It prompted co-star Jason King (also known as JK) to wonder what someone would do in a situation where they had to buy both a birthday and Christmas present for Taylor Swift.
Amanda chimed in: “Oh, I know and there’s my husband saying, ‘You’re so difficult to buy for’. It’s like an insult. He told me I was having a go at him last night because I kept saying, ‘Why do you keep saying I’m difficult to buy for? It’s like an insult’.
“I’m not difficult to buy for”, to which Ashley responded: “No; actually, I feel like you’re quite fun to buy for.” However, JK then revealed that whoever has Amanda for the Secret Santa may have been saying the “same”.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge, who is married to record producer Chris Hughes, recently admitted that she has a packed diary over the Christmas period, meaning she will have to miss their 16th anniversary.
She revealed on-air that she’s “literally got nothing [free] between now and Christmas”, with the 53-year-old set to head out with school mums on the day itself.
The couple, who are parents to Lexi and Hollie, got married in Babington House in Somerset on December 10, 2008. However, back in September, Amanda revealed that her husband believes she would be married “within the year” if they broke up.
Davina McCall was on the show talking about her dating show, ‘My Mum, Your Dad’, with the presenter explaining that some of the women on the show have been single for a decade.
Amanda replied: “Oh my gosh; I can’t imagine. I mean, this is going to make me sound shallow, but my husband always says I’ll probably be married within the year if he left me.”
In November, she also revealed that she previously had a “crush” on former football manager Jurgen Klopp when Alex Horne revealed that he’d like to host him on Channel 4’s Taskmaster.
She explained: “Amazing! I used to have a bit of a crush on Jurgen Klopp, my husband never understood it, especially because I’m an Evertonian.”
Amanda also revealed that he “doesn’t get it because of his teeth”, and doesn’t understand how she can like a “man with that smile”. However, she went on to reveal that she thinks there’s “something about him”.
