BECKLEY, W.Va. – It’s been 16 years since the Woodrow Wilson boys basketball team cut down the nets after winning the state championship.

After a 2 year drought, the team returned to Charleston in the 2023-24 season.

Although it didn’t end how they expected it to, the team values the experience it gave them.

Even though the players on the team don’t have the experience of hoisting the trophy, they remember what it was like to watch the teams who did so, which makes them want to do it even more.
