Coleen Rooney had minimal comment on Danny Jones’ victorious stint on I’m A Celebrity on Sunday night, yet her words spoke volumes.
The campmate graciously indicated no resentment towards the McFly singer seizing the title that could’ve been hers, previously stating her desire to triumph for her children’s pride.
She’d confidently told Wayne Rooney: “It’s my turn now” as she geared up for her moment in the limelight. However, as hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly announced Danny as King of the Jungle, Coleen narrowly missed out, although her supporters had high hopes, the Mirror reports.
Yet she was evidently overjoyed for Danny, offering a succinct four-word congratulation that proved her contentment at coming in at second place. Danny was visibly moved upon receiving his King of the Jungle title after a spectacular year with other big wins on The Masked Singer UK and having his act triumph on The Voice UK.
In her conversation with Ant and Dec, Coleen acknowledged her unexpected journey on the show, expressing satisfaction with her second place and admiration for how deserving Danny was. She shared: “I didn’t expect to get this far! Danny truly deserves it, I was happy to share the camp with everyone.”

Danny, still processing the victory, admitted: “It feels amazing, I can’t even talk.” He graciously thanked his supporters and humorously reflected on the thrill of being liked.
He added: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I gave my all in there, it’s a lovely feeling to be liked. Thank you so much, I appreciate this so much.”
Before the crowning moment, Danny and Coleen reflected on their stint in the wilderness. Danny shared his thoughts: “This is totally insane. I’ve learned so much about myself, and that’s because the camp mates were unbelievable. They made it so easy for us to get through the hard times.
“I’ve had some of the hardest times I’ve ever had, some of the highest highs, and just tried to have fun along the way. It was way harder, harder than what it comes across on TV, but it’s real in there. You’re hungry, you’re tired, you’re lethargic.”
Coleen described her jungle journey as a ‘strange experience’, saying, “It gave me time to think about me, my strengths and weaknesses.”
She also shared that this was ‘her turn’ to make her children feel proud, after years of them being proud of their footballer father.
