It’s great having a pet, but it can be really annoying when their hair gets on the carpet and just won’t come out.

Maybe you’re expecting guests and haven’t had time to get rid of fur in the living room, or your vacuum just isn’t getting the most hard-to-reach hairs. Either way, it can leave you frustrated.

However, there is a solution. TikTok user @kevreviews4 revealed that his friend had just reclaimed the keys to a property they’d been renting out, and the previous tenants had a pet.

He decided to try a pet hair scraper. Similar products to the one he used are available in a two-pack on Amazon for as little as £3.99.

He scraped the carpet and instantly the pet hair began to surface. He exclaimed: “Look at what you can see.

“It’s working wonders. All the loose hair, it just drags it up there’s loads and loads and loads and loads. The more you scrape, the more hair you get,” he enthused as he watched the hair pile up.

Kev dubbed it an “excellent bit of kit” and asserted it would work whether you’re a landlord, tenant, or homeowner with a pet, if you’re looking to make your carpet look as good as new again. It could even be effective for regular dust and debris that tends to accumulate in carpets.

He said the technique could “bring the carpet back to life,” and claimed all the fur looked like “a scene from CSI” after he had finished scraping.

“There’s enough fluff there to make a new animal,” he joked, adding that at the TikTok shop, the product he’s demonstrating in the clip is tagged as “less than a tenner.”

In the comments section, people said they were eager to test the product. One comment read: “I remember buying the little version a few years back and thinking ‘man I wish they did this in sweeping brush size!’ and now it’s heeerreeee I’m totally buying it. I need this in my life.”

Another remarked: “Sounds like he’s working up a sweat,” while someone else noted it “looks like hard work.”

In response to a query about the price, he disclosed that it stood at £10.90 but advised that it’s best to stay alert as the TikTok shop often has flash sales, leading to price changes.
