The hotel’s spa offers a range of relaxing and rejuvenating treatments. Among the services on offer are full body massages, exfoliating treatments, and a variety of facials.
Scotland’s Spa Hotel has received mostly positive reviews from guests. It currently has an average rating of three out of five on travel website Tripadvisor based on 210 reviews.
One recent visitor wrote: “Second time I have been here, really enjoyed it both times. It’s an older building with a mix of extensions and original Victorian era stone building, but both times I have found our rooms to be clean, tidy with comfortable beds, modern bathrooms and with the latest room, beautiful decor.
“Tea and coffee facilities in the room were well supplied. Reception and breakfast staff were very helpful and pleasant.
“Would be happy to visit again.”
A second agreed: “We stayed one night in a lovely twin room with a corner aspect so two great views of lush woodland and old architecture, including a lovely chiming clock tower. Swimming pool was lovely and breakfast was delicious, and promptly served.
“I loved how you could open the window, some hotels have them sealed shut and it gets so stuffy. Staff members were also lovely. I would definitely go here again.
“Also, so centrally located, minutes from the bus stop!”
On the other hand, a less positive review reads: “Not much of a welcome. You can’t check in til later. Had to ask if we could leave our suitcases. Room was OK but awful pillows.
“Evening meal was fine. Drinks absolutely a rip off.”
It continues: “So expensive and if you order spirits they are barely a splash in the glass. Honestly this gives Scotland such a bad reputation as anywhere else in Europe you get decent service and drinks.
“Went to check out and not one member of staff could be found! Dreadful service.”
If you are looking to spend a night or two in Pitlochry, but Scotland’s Spa Hotel doesn’t appeal, there are plenty of other options. These include the four-star Atholl Palace Hotel and the luxurious Fonab Castle.
