Council officials say inspections are being carried out to find out how to repair a school roof blown off during Storm Darragh.
Part of the roof of Castle Douglas High School, in Dumfries and Galloway, was blown off on Saturday – although classes continued as normal on Monday.
Now, work inspections are being carried out to see what work is needed at the school, which was built in 1958.

A spokesman said: “The school is open and access and egress can be achieved in a safe manner. Initial inspections have taken place, with more detailed inspections now underway regarding a repair solution. This is being done with no adverse effect on teaching time or resource.
“The repair work will be completed once the inspections are complete and the job has been fully scoped and costed. The school community will be kept up to date as the repair progresses.”
