BLUEFIELD, W. Va. -The Granada Theater in Bluefield West Virginia is getting ready for the second night of local band, Chosen Road’s Hometown Christmas with a special guest appearance. This is the fourth year of Chosen Road’s annual concert featuring a mix of Bluegrass and Christmas music.
This year, they will be sharing the stage with Grand Ole Opry member Rhonda Vincent and The Rage. The two acts have performed together at other locations before bringing the show to Chosen Road’s hometown.
“…We’ve known Rhonda for a while now, and… we we’re with her this past summer, and we asked her, ‘would you like to come to our hometown Christmas show, and she said, ‘yeah, let’s make it happen…’” says Zach Alvis, lead singer of Chosen Road.
Rhonda Vincent says the performance is fun for the whole family.
“It’s a family atmosphere. I love that about Bluegrass. There’s an authenticity to the music that you might not find in other music…” says Rhonda Vincent, “…you know, we’re bringing Christmas, merging Bluegrass music and just all of it together.”
Rhonda Vincent encourages those wanting to hear her music to pick up her newest album “Destinations and Fun Places” on her website.
