Young artists in Ayrshire have the opportunity to have their work exhibited at the National gallery in Edinburgh.
National Galleries of Scotland is encouraging youngsters aged 3-18 to let their imaginations run wild and create their own artworks, from drawings, paintings, 3-D sculptures or video – there are no limitations on what they can make.
All submissions will feature as part of the spectacular Your Art World exhibition, opening on May 10, 2025, showcasing the creativity of young artists from across Scotland.
Applicants needs to submit a photograph of their work and upload it to the National Galleries of Scotland’s online gallery, then come along and see their creation featured digitally on screens in the National.
All the new entries sent in will be added to the screens every month until the exhibition ends on November 2, 2025.
Entries submitted before the 5 January will also be in the running for the prize draw, which includes art supplies for individual winners, or art supplies for your school.
With online resources available for teachers and families to support children in art-based activities, the project encourages everyone to get involved, no matter ability or knowledge.
By providing tools and guidance, Your Art World demystifies the creative process and makes art accessible to everyone.
Submissions can be made here and should be sent in by January 5, 2025 to be in with a chance of winning the prize draw or by the October 2, 2025 for inclusion in the exhibition.
