HOUSTON — An injury to Dolphins Grant DuBose during Sunday’s Dolphins-Texans game led to an extended stoppage of play.
DuBose was going across the middle trying to haul in a pass from Miami’s Tua Tagovailoa in the third quarter when the Texans’ Calen Bullock hit him with what appeared to be a helmet-to-helmet blow.
Play during the game was stopped for an extended period of time, as medical personnel attended to DuBose on the field. They cut DuBose’s jersey off of him and removed his facemask before restraining his extremities and carting him off the field.
Bullock was flagged on the play – a 15-yard penalty.
DuBose is a second-year player out of Charlotte.
Dolphins WR Grant DuBose has been ruled out with a head injury. He is in stable condition and being taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
