One man was seriously injured Tuesday when a fire erupted at a Midtown senior citizen center Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The FDNY said around 78 firefighters and EMS members responded to the 3:40 p.m. blaze on the 12th floor of the Woodstock House near West 43rd St. and Seventh Ave., adding a man who suffered a serious injury in the fire was transported to Bellevue Hospital.

The fire was put under control by 4:11 p.m., officials said.

The cause of the blaze was not immediately known; FDNY fire marshals were conducting an investigation.
