Amanda Holden’s daughter has “blasted” the star for sunbathing topless when the family jet away on holidays.
The 53-year-old brought daughter Hollie along to the Heart FM Breakfast studio yesterday (December 18) as the youngster was looking to “earn some more pocket money” ahead of Christmas. The move however appeared to backfire, with Heart co-host Jason ‘JK’ King using the opportunity to embarrass Amanda.
JK told listeners it “would be a shame” not to get more insight into what life was really like living with the Britain’s Got Talent judge. He took the opportunity to ask 12-year-old Hollie what Amanda’s “most embarrassing moment” was.
The TV star recalled a moment on a family holiday in Greece at the end of the pandemic. She said: “We were on holiday in Greece and I needed to get my nails done.
“We were in Corfu and it was the time people were still wearing masks so I lifted my mask down and I was saying to the lady ‘do you know anyone locally who could help me with my nails, I really need to get my nails done’ and she started indicating [at] my face and I went ‘yeah, yeah, I’m on Britain’s Got Talent’.
“She went ‘no, put your mask on’. I nearly died but then I found it very funny. I got in the car and my husband dined out on that forever.”
JK quipped that Amanda’s husband Chris Hughes is “still going” and even recalled the incident at Christmas drinks. Hollie however said it was Amanda’s sunbathing escapades that were more embarrassing.
She said: “I put sunbathing topless. It’s so annoying.”
JK also took the chance to ask Hollie what Amanda’s “most annoying habit” was at home. The radio star responded: “I constantly have to take her phone off her and hide it. And constantly moaning about like ‘have you cleaned your teeth?’ ‘have you brushed your hair?’ ‘have you packed your school bag?’ All the things that good mums do.”
Hollie agreed and said she wrote “nagging” her to get off her phone. Meanwhile the pair also agreed on mum-of-two Amanda’s worst cooking blunder, both naming badly decorated gingerbread biscuits that were meant to look like their family.
Hollie is Amada and Chris’s youngest daughter. The couple, who began dating in 2004, also share older daughter Lexi together.
The couple tied the knot at the luxurious Babington House in Somerset in 2008. The family live in a £7 million home in Surrey along with dogs Minnie and Rudie.
Heart Breakfast airs on weekdays at 6.30am. This morning’s show will see JK joined by Race Across the World star Kelly Brook.
