A man has been arrested and charged following a robbery in Greenock.

The robbery took place while two shop workers were there on Monday, December 16, at around 9.55am.

Parents with children had been inside the shop just moments before the incident at Harry’s store on East Crawford Street, Greenock.

Around £600 is alleged to have been stolen in the incident.

A 20-year-old man is due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Thursday 19 December, 2024.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal. Enquiries are ongoing.
