AUSTIN, Texas — The weekend is upon us and, as always, there are a ton of things going on in the Austin area! From a free concert before football to a “Merry-achi Christmas,” there’s no shortage of fun activities happening over the next few days.
Here’s a breakdown of just some of the events you can attend this weekend.
Final Third Thursday: Holiday Celebration
After work, you can head over to the Bullock Museum for a final Third Thursday full of holiday cheer. The event will include a visit from Santa Claus with free photo opportunities for guests, holiday-themed beverages, a performance from harpist Kristen Gibbs and student musicians, and the option to design and decorate your own holiday ornaments or gift tags.
The museum’s exhibition galleries will be open between 5 and 7 p.m., and all Third Thursday activities are included in the price of admission.

Pat Green at Longhorn City Limits
Whether or not you scored tickets for the Texas Longhorns’ big College Football Playoff game against Clemson on Saturday, you can catch a free concert from Texas country legend Pat Green before kickoff!
Opener Sour Bridges will hit the stage at 11:30 a.m. on the LBJ Lawn, followed by Green at approximately 1 p.m.
When: Saturday starting at 11:30 a.m. Kickoff for the game is 3 p.m.

Merry-Achi Christmas with Mariachi Sol de México de José Hernandez
José Hernandez and his Mariachi Sol de México will bring their “Merry-achi Christmas” tour to ACL Live at the Moody Theater this weekend. The show offers a unique twist on seasonal music, sure to get fans in the holiday spirit.
