Virgin River’s highly-anticipated sixth season has finally been released on Netflix and fans no longer have to wait to witness the TV wedding of the year.
While Mel Monroe (played by Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) said their vows, however, there was some fraught drama happening amongst their friends and family.
During Mel’s bachelorette party, a tipsy Brie Sheridan (Zibby Allen) snuck off to send Dan Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth) a voicemail, confessing she can’t stop thinking about him despite breaking things off with him due to his drug dealing.
Later on, they meet up to talk about it and find it impossible to resist each other, betraying their new relationships with Mike (Marco Grazzini) and Lark (Elise Gatien).
Although the season finale featured its fair share of twists and turns, Mike not only getting down on one knee to propose but also revealing that he knows Brie and Brady slept together was the shocker that had everyone talking.
Fans will have to wait until Virgin River’s seventh season drops to discover what happens next, but many of them have already admitted they’re getting frustrated with the storyline.
One viewer went so far as to blast Brie’s actions, writing on Reddit: “I am literally DONE with this Brie and Brady storyline.
“It’s ridiculous and disgusting and I’m so upset that Brie is doing this to Mike. He has done absolutely nothing other than love her.
“Lark gets what she gets. No sympathy for her really but Mike? Nah! He doesn’t deserve it.”
It looks like Brady will have to track down Lark in season seven after she overheard him confess his love for Brie and drained his bank account. But will he have time to get back together with Brie? Or will she accept Mike’s proposal?
A second irate viewer commented during the episode: “I can’t stand Brie! Cannot! I think Mike’s about to propose. And this woman is a cheater and liar. Mike deserves so much better!”
Another baffled fan fumed: “Brie is going to say no. She better! She better say no! Say no Brie! You do not deserve Mike!
“Huh??!?! He knows?!?!?! What?!?!?! And he still wants to marry her? WTF?????”
To which another viewer replied: “She better say no and not p*** me the f*** off! Clearly she is still in love with Brady!!!
“I don’t even understand why Mike would propose knowing she slept with Brady, that’s crazy…like have some shame Mike!”
Although they also hinted at their hopes for a reunion in season seven: “And I don’t care Mike and Brie are so lacklustre. Brady and Brie have chemistry for days!!!”
The next outing of Virgin River could see the former flames quickly reigniting their spark, but fans may have to prepare for another lengthy ‘will-they-won’t-they’ phase when the drama continues.
