For those who find the popular haircare brand Olaplex a bit pricey, there’s good news. One woman has taken to social media to reveal a wallet-friendly alternative that she claims has made her hair “stronger” and “less greasy” after just a couple of uses.

Olaplex is a big name in the beauty industry, but its cost can be a bit much for some – particularly when purchasing multiple products. This is where Aldi comes in, offering similar items at a mere fraction of Olaplex’s price.

Karen, a content creator who posts as @karenharte2, excitedly told her followers: “Run don’t walk to Aldi,” as she raved about the transformative effects of the ‘Bonded’ range on her locks – and currently, Aldi is presenting an ideal gift set, perfectly timed for the festive season.

She pointed out that these products are “really good for bleached hair,” which often needs more attention to prevent brassy or yellow hues. Despite admitting she was “massively overdue” for a hair appointment, Karen observed that the Aldi alternatives had significantly improved the look and feel of her hair.

“I have to say, I’ve used this twice now, and already I can feel my hair is a lot stronger. It’s not as greasy at the roots and it’s not snapping off when I’m brushing my hair,” Karen shared, singing the praises of the budget-friendly Aldi collection.

Her find of shampoo and conditioner for the steal price of £3.99 each at Aldi massively undercuts luxury brand Olaplex’s products that retail at around £20. She’s determined to “stock up” whenever possible as these Aldi gems are known to fly off shelves “very very fast”.

At the moment, a Bonded gift set from the leading supermarket can be snatched up for just £9.99. This set boasts four items to treat your hair.

The package includes a “pre-wash” – the “first step of a 3-step system designed to strengthen and repair the look of damaged hair” – plus “a reparative mask designed to condition and smooth the look of hair,” along with “a lightweight oil” to beautify your hair. Additionally, it features a bonus item a large, white microfiber scrunchie.
