“As we look forward to the festive season, I wish to reflect on what has been another busy year for our communities.
“Serving as Lord Lieutenant for Lanarkshire continues to be an immense privilege, and I am continually inspired by the resilience, kindness and unity that define Lanarkshire.
“This year, the Lieutenancy has proudly participated in many memorable events including our schools public speaking competition, citizenship ceremonies, 100th birthday and Golden Wedding celebrations.
“We’ve commemorated moments of reflection during Remembrance services, celebrated achievements at business awards, supported voluntary organisations, recognised the outstanding local winners of the King’s Award for Voluntary Service and been part of Royal Visits that connect us to our rich heritage.
“These occasions showcase the diversity, strength, and vitality of Lanarkshire’s people and organisations.
“I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude once again to the dedicated Deputy Lieutenants whose tireless efforts have brought these events to life. Your commitment to serving and uplifting our communities is invaluable, and I thank you for all that you do.
“Massive thanks are also due to both North and South Lanarkshire Councils whose support to the Lieutenancy has once again been excellent.
“Looking ahead, I am excited about the opportunities for further community engagement in the coming year. Together, we will continue to celebrate the people and achievements that make Lanarkshire a great place to live.
“I wish you and your loved ones a joyful Christmas and a prosperous New Year.”
