BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – On Dec. 22 in Bluefield, First Presbyterian Church welcomed attendees for the return of its “Christmastide Medley” concert.

The audience was treated to a program of festive songs. Sunday’s performance included plenty of other instruments like flute and violin. One choir member said he looks forward to this show every year.

“It’s really exciting. I love doing it every year. I perform all the time, but it’s really great to be in a bigger group, and we have instruments as well so it’s a really combined effort,” said Jim Bartlett, a member of the choir.

The Music Director of the church, Harold Brown, says the concert is an opportunity for the audience to participate in Christmas songs as well.

“It really is a chance for the audience to sing a few carols that they know. ‘Silent Night’ and ‘Come All Ye Faithful’ and ‘Joy to the World’. It’s just a great time,” said Brown.
