Both A90 carriageways at Glencarse, north and south, are set to reopen tomorrow, Saturday December 21.
The road on the Glencarse overbridge itself is also set to reopen.
The A90 has been operating under a contraflow at Glencarse since Thursday October 10 for repairs to be carried out on the accident damaged overbridge.
The bridge sustained significant structural damage when it was struck by a vehicle in March 2023 and required an extensive programme of complex repairs to bring it back to safe working order for all road users.
The work over the past two months included repairs to a buckled primary deck element to reinstate the load-carrying capacity and allow the local road on the bridge to fully reopen to traffic.
Replacement of a section of steel beam, concrete repairs to the surrounding area of the bridge deck, and replacement of a bearing which supports the beam, also took place
Contractors Amey also carried out additional maintenance work while traffic management was in place, including bearing replacement on the south support and repainting work to avoid the need to close the A90 again for such maintenance in the near future.
