The second season of Squid Game has been lauded as a sensation by South Korean stars, who were taken aback by the dystopian thriller’s global success. The inaugural season garnered worldwide attention, becoming Netflix’s most-viewed series and topping the charts in 94 countries.

Filming for the second season kicked off in July 2023, following Gi-hun (portrayed by Lee Jung-jae), who seeks revenge a year after emerging victorious in the Squid Game. He re-enters the game with the aim of defeating the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) and putting an end to the game once and for all.
He is accompanied by police officer Jun-ho (Wi Ha-joon), the Front Man’s sibling, who endeavours to assist him in halting the game and rescuing his brother. In the game, he will once again collaborate with new players, including his mate Jung-bae (Lee Seo-hwan), to ensure maximum survival.
Meanwhile, the Front Man pulls out all the stops to thwart Gi-hun’s mission. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming series.
