Court documents reveal the incident was reportedly punishment for the girl’s behavior at school.

HOUSTON — A Houston woman remains in custody after being arrested for allegedly locking a 7-year-old girl in a “dog cage” for several hours, according to court documents.

Rose Marie Anderson is charged with injury to a child and unlawful restraint.

Investigators with the Houston Police Department said Anderson zip-tied the child and taped her mouth shut before leaving her alone for several hours.

Records show Anderson is in the process of bonding out. She is scheduled to appear in court next Thursday.
