Snappy Shopper delivered a festive dose of holiday cheer this Christmas season as an 82-year old local took home over £100 worth of goods in a trolley dash.
Kathy Drennan delighted the Cumbernauld community by taking part in the last Christmas store dash dressed as Santa at SPAR Condorrat on Thursday, December 19.
Kathy ‘Claus’ was given 60 seconds to grab as many items as possible and put them in her basket, with the total cost covered by Snappy Shopper – alcohol, tobacco and scratch cards were not included.
Kathy raced through the aisles with energy and festive cheer, collecting an incredible £113 worth of goodies in her bright red Santa hat and beard.
A long-time resident of Cumbernauld, Kathy was the star of the day, spreading smiles and embodying the joy of the season as she filled her basket with festive treats and essentials.
Speaking after the event, Kathy said: “It was a great event, I really enjoyed it. I’m grateful to Snappy Shopper and Spar Condorrat for making this happen.”
Kathy was cheered on by her daughter and son-in-law, as well as the staff, who were all thrilled to watch the event take place.
