Two youths have been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder after a teenage boy was “stabbed” in Edinburgh.

Emergency services raced to the incident on Stenhouse Avenue West after receiving the alarm at 9pm on Sunday. Crews attended and a 16-year-old boy was found seriously injured.

He was taken to hospital for treatment, where he currently remains. The boy’s condition is unknown.

Police confirmed two teenagers, both 17, have been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder. They are due to appear from custody on Tuesday.

Police say they are following positive lines of inquiry. Images show multiple cop vehicles in attendance.
