The Princess of Wales has urged people to support one another, saying we “must all shine for each other” in a heartfelt Christmas message.

Kate Middleton, who has had a challenging year due to health issues and preventative chemotherapy treatment, hosted her annual Together At Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey.

The event, which has already taken place, will be broadcast on television tonight, Tuesday December 24. In a clip shared ahead of the programme, Kate expressed her gratitude to those who help others, stating: “Across the United Kingdom, there are so many inspiring people embracing those in need. “

She continued, “This carol service is a heartfelt celebration of everyone of you and a reminder that at Christmas, and throughout the year, we must all shine for each other. Because in times of joy and sadness, we are all each other’s light. I wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas.”

Kate, who has been gradually resuming her royal duties, looked stunning in a red coat with a large black bow on the collar, designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, reports the Mirror.

Kate extended an invitation to the young survivors of the Southport stabbings following her and Prince William’s heartfelt visit earlier in the year to the families affected by the tragedy.

During a Taylor Swift-themed dance class on July 29 in Southport, three children, Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, tragically lost their lives. The Royal couple had a private meeting with the families of the victims and the dance instructor.

Kensington Palace expressed that Kate’s intention for this year’s carol service was to honour those who offer support to people in times of need, emphasising the significance of love and empathy. Her own children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, were also present, upholding a cherished family tradition.

The youngsters paid their respects at a “kindness tree”, set up to celebrate individuals who have demonstrated compassion, kindness, and love within their communities. As they approached, each of them carried red tags, with Louis’s bearing a heartfelt, handwritten message: “Thank you to granny and grandpa because they have played games with me.”
