As many gear up to binge their favourite Christmas films throughout the festive season, new research has unveiled who holds the title of the most desirable heartthrob.

Bruce Willis and Jack Black have topped the list of ultimate Christmas heartthrobs, beating out Jude Law and Hugh Grant, according to new research by Slingo.

The ranking is based on factors such as facial features, social media popularity, and Google search trends. Willis took the top spot for his role of John McClane in Die Hard back in 1988.

He scored an attractiveness rating of 6.7, boasts a whopping 55 million searches, and has gathered two million Instagram followers. Jack Black surprisingly clinched second place, surpassing his co-star Jude Law.

It will come as a welcome boost to Die Hard acting star Willis, 69, who has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a condition that has progressively worsened over time to the point it has led to “challenges with communication”.

Hugh didn’t stop there, securing a second spot on the list – as his character Daniel Cleaver in Bridget Jones’s Diary also proved popular, landing him in fourth position. However, the film rating was slightly lower at 6.8.

Jude Law, known for his role as Graham in The Holiday, secured fourth place among the most attractive heartthrobs. The film has an IMDb rating of 7 and Jude, who starred alongside Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet and Jack Black, had 12 million searches and an attractiveness rating of 6.4. However, he remains absent from social media.
