A Wishaw woman who launched her own beauty business after decades of working in offices has scooped another prestigious industry award.
Natalie Kelso, a mum-of-two, spent two decades employed in a variety of administration roles in offices but admits she never really enjoyed the work.
She was working from home during lockdown but lost her job, after a period of study decided to take the plunge and launch her own business, Brazilian Booty Lift Lanarkshire Ltd.
The entrepreneur has now been recognised for her outstanding achievements in the beauty industry.
Natalie attended the glamorous Industry Leader Awards in Manchester recently, having been nominated for three prestigious awards, and was delighted to be named Industry Leader 2024.
The star-studded red carpet event which was hosted by Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent, who plays Sophie Webster in the soap, brought together some of the most inspirational women in the beauty industry.
Attendees enjoyed insightful talks from guest speakers at the awards which celebrate excellence within the beauty and aesthetics field.
Natalie was delighted to receive the coveted award from Brazilian Bootylift CEO Chantelle Thomson and Sales Manager Rebecca Clarke, in what was a proud moment for the Lanarkshire businesswoman.
Reflecting on her achievement, Natalie said: “It was a truly amazing evening, and I’m so honoured to be recognised with this award. And to be surrounded by so many inspirational women was incredible.
“There were 15 categories and I was nominated in three of them. I hoped I might win one, but didn’t expect it to be the big one – which was amazing.
Natalie’s journey from business start-up until now has been nothing short of remarkable. In just over two and a half years, she has grown Brazilian Bootylift Lanarkshire Ltd into a thriving six-figure business, offering transformative services to her clients. Now, as she looks ahead to 2025, Natalie is preparing to launch sister business – Beauty Boss Lessons.
“The new venture is designed to empower local beauty professionals by sharing the knowledge and strategies that helped her achieve success.
“I want to help others in the beauty industry grow their businesses and reach their potential,” Natalie added. “The industry has given me so much, and I’m passionate about giving back.”
