Hamilton Accies ace Oli Shaw reckons feeling hard done by in their defeat to Championship leaders Falkirk can drive them to victory over Airdrie this weekend.
The New Douglas Park striker and his side fell to a sore 1-0 defeat in Grangemouth after Callumn Morrison’s deflected strike proved the difference with just 10 minutes remaining.
Shaw felt Accies deserved to take something from the contest and is determined to make sure they don’t come away with anything less than three points in Saturday’s derby against rock-bottom Diamonds.
He said: “We know it will be a tough game. It’s a derby so both teams want the result.
“They’ve been on a bit of a bad run but we know that bad runs can change quickly.
“We’ve come off the back of a hard defeat last weekend, where we feel we were a wee bit hard done by, so we will be looking to get back to winning ways at home.

“There was a bit of frustration with the amount of work we put into the game.
“The goal we conceded is a wee bit unfortunate with a deflection into the top corner, but there are plenty of positives to take.
“We competed with the top team in the league so we want to take that into other games. It was a dogged performance that nearly got us something out of the game.
“For us that was a bit disappointing but Saturday is a chance to put things right, get a win and get a bit of momentum going into the new year.”
Shaw is the league’s top scorer with eight goals, two of which came the last time Accies hosted Airdrie in August’s 2-2 draw. They won the reverse clash at New Broomfield 4-0 last month.
The 26-year-old ex-Motherwell man hasn’t found the target in his last two outings, though, and is keen to change that.
He added: “I go into every game believing I can score and help the team as much as I can.
“I am in the team to score goals and that’s what I’ve been doing. Hopefully I score and we get the three points as well.”
