A fourth man has ben arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Falkirk following a car crash last year.

Amy Rose Wilson, 27, died after her silver Vauxhall Vectra crashed with a Volkswagen Tiguan on New Carron Road at around 6.10pm on July 29, 2023. A black C-Class Mercedes fled the scene and was later recovered abandoned.

Police confirmed a 23-year-old man was arrested at Stansted International Airport in connection with the death on Friday. He is expected to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday, December 30.

This follows the arrests of three men who were charged and have since appeared in court.

A statement from Police Scotland reads: “The fatal incident took place around 6.10pm on Saturday, 29 July, 2023. It involved a silver Vauxhall Vectra and a black Volkswagen Tiguan. A black C-Class Mercedes left the scene and was later recovered abandoned. Amy Rose, aged 27, was the driver of the Vauxhall and pronounced dead at the scene.

“Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Amy.”
