Michelle Keegan delighted fans with her unexpected pregnancy announcement, showing off her growing baby bump in a sun-drenched photo. The 37 year old actress took to Instagram on Sunday to reveal the exciting development – sharing a picture of herself with her reality star husband Mark Wright on a beach backdrop.
The image featured Mark, also aged 37, walking toward Michelle against a backdrop of a stunning sunset. Dressed in a flowing white ensemble, Michelle was pictured cradling her obvious baby bump with a tender hand. In her touching post, she chose a concise caption that read: “2025 is going to be a special one for us…” accompanied by a baby face emoticon and a white heart.
Secretive about her pregnancy until now, the star had previously utilised clever photography and fashion choices to keep her pregnancy under wraps, with festive postings in December strategically composed to prevent revealing her news prematurely.

At December’s outset, Michelle uploaded a series of images and video clips to her Instagram with the accompanying words: “Happy 1st December… I’ll be honest I stepped into Christmas weeks ago. Here’s to the best month of the year.”
The hero image in the collection showed Michelle sat at a dine-out spot, bundled up in a massive winter jacket with a tiny canine companion perched on her lap, cleverly masking her figure. Further images revealed the star wrapped up in an oversized brown leather coat, lined with plush sheepskin, which engulfed her entire shape, reports the Mirror.
More shots captured her taking selfies, purposely framing from the shoulders up. In December, the ex-Corrie favourite shared a promo video on her main Instagram feed for Rituals Cosmetics, wrapping presents and sampling products. The filming angles were strategically chosen to hide Michelle’s growing belly, focusing either on her seated posture concealing her figure or close-ups of her hands and over-the-shoulder shots.
The couple’s announcement was greeted with warm wishes from fans and followers online. One commented on their Instagram announcement: “Awwwww Congratulations this is amazing news.” Another expressed: “I’m so so happy for you guys. Just the best.”
Michelle has previously criticised the invasive questioning directed at women regarding motherhood, given that their situations are often private. Speaking to the Mirror, she said: “It’s horrible. People don’t know if we’re trying. They don’t know the background of what’s happening. In this day and age, you shouldn’t be asking questions like that. I’m asked purely because I’m a woman. I’m immune to it now – it’s like a reaction, and as soon as I hear it I brush it off as it’s no one else’s business.
