A man has been charged in connection with an incident after a dog died when it was “attacked” by two other dogs in Netherthird.
Police were called following the attack which took place near to Craigens Road on Sunday morning, December 29, which saw one dog taken to the vets.
Despite the best efforts of vets, the dog later died from its injuries.
A 37-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Sunday, December 29, we received reports of a dog attacked by two other dogs near Craigens Road, Cumnock on Sunday, December 29.
“One dog was taken to the vets but died from its injuries.
“One man, aged 37, has been charged in connection and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
