AUSTIN, Texas — Two people are in custody after allegedly firing shots in Downtown Austin on Sunday night.

According to the Austin Police Department, officers responded to reports of shots fired near the intersection of West Fifth Street and West Avenue around 8:58 p.m. on Dec. 29.

A suspect, later identified as 43-year-old Bob Hinojosa Jr., was located near the area, police said. He was arrested and charged with deadly conduct and felon in possession of a firearm and booked into the Travis County Jail.

A second suspect, 45-year-old Christina Miranda, was also charged with deadly conduct and possession of a controlled substance. She was booked into the Travis County Jail.

No injuries were reported from the shooting.
