Worried Alan Brazil refused to class Rangers’ rousing 3-0 win over Celtic as a one-off – and he fears Philippe Clement has stripped the Premiership champions of their greatest strength.
The veteran broadcaster loves nothing more than firing haymakers into the blue corner, however, he was left raving about the Rangers side which wiped the floor with Brendan Rodgers’ Premiership champions. The gap is now 11 points, and while Brazil isn’t predicting an astonishing title comeback, he sees something different from Rangers over the past two games.
Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: “First goal, maybe I am being too harsh but I thought the keeper (Schmeichel) could have done better. The way I see it, I didn’t see the whole game, I watched highlights, and towards the end. Celtic were fantastic at pressing, but if you go back to the Cup Final, Rangers pressed Celtic and gave them a real scare. It’s all changed. There is a real comfortable gap, Brendan won’t be pressing the panic button. Rangers needed that.
