The tills were ringing out at The Centre, Livingston, as shoppers flocked to the mall, which is one of the largest in Scotland, to snap up some bargains in the festive sales.
People travelled from across the country to enjoy a day out at the shopping centre – which has over 150 stores including Flannels, M&S, The Entertainer and River Island and eateries like wagamama and Nando’s – to take advantage of lots of discounted items like video games, books, winter warmers and perfumes.
Others were treating themselves to everything from sleepwear and ‘me time’ pampering goodies at Lush and Rituals to jewellery and gym gear to help get their New Year fitness resolutions off to a good start.
Shoppers from Lanark Alice Faulkner, (pictured above) a radio presenter, and Fraser Prentice, an engineer, were just some of the people enjoying a great day out.
Alice said: “We love visiting the shopping centre which always seems to have everything we need and today was no different – we’ve picked up lots of great bits and pieces, including a bath robe from M&S and a pamper treat for myself at Lush.”
Patrick Robbertze, centre director at The Centre, Livingston, said: “There’s always a great buzz in the shopping centre, especially on Boxing Day at The Centre, Livingston and this year was no different as people travelled from near and afar to snap up some brilliant bargains. With so many great places to eat too, it’s the perfect place to spend a full day with friends and the family.”
