A man has been attacked by a dog which had to be put down on a Scots island.
The horror incident took place on Stornoway, on the Isle of Lewis, on New Year’s Day during the morning. Cops raced to the home address and the dog was put down with the permission of the owner.
Cops have launched a probe into the incident while they establish the full circumstances surrounding the brutal attack.
A spokesperson for the Force said: “Officers are aware of an incident of a dog attacking a man at an address in Stornoway on the morning of Wednesday, 1 January, 2025. The dog was euthanised with the permission of the owner. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
