A young Celtic fan has tragically lost his life just days into the New Year.

David Tucker died aged 28 on Thursday January 2 leaving friends and family devastated by the sudden loss. Close pal Stephanie Mitchell is now planning a tribute at the next Celtic game on Sunday January 5 when the team take on St Mirren.

The huge Hoops fan has been remembered by many since his passing. Chloe Moonchild said: “Rest in peace Davie.” Stacy Ryan said: “Heartbreaking and so young , thinking of all his family.”

Stephanie Mitchell took to Facebook in a desperate plea and wrote: ” I’m hoping this can reach enough people and hopefully gets back to the correct person, unfortunately Our friend David Tucker lost his life last night and was a huge fan of Celtic.

“We were hoping to do a minute clap on the 28th minute as that’s what age he was! Hopefully this Sunday against St Mirren or the 8th against Dundee! Please share this as our Tucker was a huge Celtic supporter and we want to give him the best recognition possible. We love and miss you Tucks.”

His sister Lynsey Ann added: “This is lovely thanks. He was 28. I’m his sister. This is much appreciated. David loved Celtic all his days.”

While Johnny McFarlane said: “Rest in peace, Tucker bro you are at peace now lad rest easy. Gone but never forgotten.”
