The buzz around Meghan Markle’s new cooking show on Netflix, “With Love, Meghan”, has been undeniable since the trailer dropped last week.
Set to premiere on January 15, the eight-episode series will feature the Duchess of Sussex whipping up dishes with her closest celebrity pals.
At 43-years-old, Meghan is no stranger to public scrutiny and decided to disable comments when she posted the trailer on her fresh Instagram account, the Express reports.
Meghan returned to social media on New Year’s Day for the first time in six years when she made the first post on her new account, under the simple Instagram handle of @meghan.
However, Netflix didn’t follow suit when sharing the video on YouTube, leading to a flood of 33,869 comments, most of which were critical of both Meghan and the programme.
A few sarcastic remarks stood out, such as one viewer’s quip: “Made oatmeal buns this morning and elevated them with herbs. I also put extra ginger into my husband’s tea! Netflix, here I come! ”
Others joined in the jest, with comments like: “Hey Netflix, can I have a contract? I made toast today whilst pursuing joy and elevated it with butter….just being my authentic self.”

Some even suggested a show about the comment section itself. Amidst the sea of negativity, there was a glimmer of support from royal enthusiasts eager to see the duchess’s culinary adventures on their screens.
Following the release of the trailer on Netflix’s Instagram, Meghan’s fans were quick to shower her with praise. One enthusiastic fan commented: “This looks fabulous- I can’t wait to watch.”
Another chimed in saying: “I think Meghan is such a blessing to Harry’s life. Diana would have loved her. I cannot wait to watch this.”
A third admirer simply stated: “Love this for her! ” The show is set to premiere on Netflix on January 15.
