KYLE, Texas — An investigation is ongoing after a dog was recently shot to death in Kyle.
According to the Kyle Police Department, the shooting happened on Dec. 20, 2024, between 5 and 10 p.m., at a home on New Bridge Drive in the Waterleaf area.
While the dog’s owners were not home at the time of the shooting, police said several neighbors reported hearing gunfire in the area.
Police hope someone will come forward with information on video footage of the shooting that left 7-year-old Dahlia, a Labrador mix, dead.
According to police, the shooter would face a charge of cruelty to non-livestock animals pending further investigation. Anyone with information should contact Det. Craig Struble via email at [email protected].
