The recall comes amid an active cold and flu season.

NEW YORK — Costco has issued a recall of some of its Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion medication over contamination concerns.

LNK International Inc, the New York-based manufacturer behind the medication, issued a recall advisory on Jan. 2 “out of an abundance of caution.” The recall comes amid an active cold and flu season.

“LNK has initiated a recall for the accidental release and shipment of a specific lot code that was rejected due to potential foreign material contamination,”  an advisory letter sent to some customers said.

The recalled items were sold between Oct. 30 and Nov. 30, 2024, and have a Lot Code of P140082 on the box. Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu Plus Congestion medication is sold in caplets that come in 168-count boxes.

The recall advisory did not disclose how many products were affected or if there were any incidents related to the recall.

Those with the recalled product are urged to stop use immediately and return to Costco for a full refund. Consumers can contact LNK International Inc. with any questions or complaints at 1-800-426-9391 or via email at [email protected].
