A school choir hit all the right notes as they wowed shoppers at a Coatbridge supermarket.

The musical marvels from Buchanan High held two singing sessions at the town’s Asda store.

Customers were treated to fantastic festive tunes and kindly donated nearly £500 which will go towards the Coatbridge school’s minibus fund.

A Buchanan High School spokesperson told Lanarkshire Live: “Our choir visited Asda Coatbridge and were absolutely amazing!.

“They really were a credit to the school and the customers and staff at the supermarket loved their singing.

“Over the two visits, the choir raised a superb £441 to put towards the minibus fund.

“We’d like to thank everyone who kindly donated, Asda for being so welcoming, and our pupils for their excellent musical performances.”
