Lily Allen and David Harbour, who tied the knot in 2020 following their connection on Raya, parted ways shortly before Christmas.
It’s been reported that the singer stumbled upon Harbour’s active account on Raya – the same exclusive dating platform where they first crossed paths in 2019 – sparking infidelity rumours.
On her podcast ‘Miss Me?’, Allen openly admitted that regardless of feeling explorative, she never judged her ex-partner harshly, the Mirror reports.
Allen remarked: “I wonder if I kink-shame my husband. Because he quite often asks for things, and I’m like: ‘No, babe, it’s not happening.’ I’m not like: ‘You piece of s***, how dare you ask me to do that! ‘ I’m just like: ‘Hmm, headache. Little headache, got a bit of a headache – maybe not tonight’.”
In another revelation during a November episode of her podcast, Allen divulged that during spats with Harbour, she would turn to an AI chatbot for help in drafting responses.
Detailing her use of AI, Allen explained: “If me and David have had an argument and I need to articulate it, I’ll be like, ‘Write me a long text message about an argument that started with the dishwasher and ended in an argument about our finances’.”
After receiving a response from ChatGPT, she offered feedback with personal prompts to get a more accurate reflection of her feelings.
Discussing her interaction with ChatGPT, she said: “‘That’s great but can you add in a bit about how I think this is all actually to do with his mum? ‘ You just copy and paste every single one until you’ve got enough.”
The couple’s love story started when they matched on Raya, with Allen initially mistaking Harbour for a reality TV star due to his profile picture.
Lily admitted on The Jonathan Ross Show: “It was the first time I’d been on this dating app. I was scrolling through and landed on David’s profile and pressed accept. I didn’t know who he was. I thought he was just like a sexy policeman from a reality TV show.”
Lily detailed how David was donning a policeman’s uniform in his profile picture, which turned out to be a still from Stranger Things.
The Hard Out There singer confessed to never having watched the popular Netflix series. She continued: “I don’t even know what I was looking for. It was just something to do on holiday, swiping, it’s a bit of fun.”
The singer then added: “When I met him I didn’t think it was going to go anywhere. He was here filming Black Widow. He was only going to be here for a couple of months. And then it did..”
Lily and David quickly became an item, leading them to delete their Raya accounts. Nevertheless, sources disclose that David might have revived his profile clandestinely on the dating app.
Lily reportedly stumbled upon hints that David had been meeting other women through Raya. An insider alleged she had suspicions about his online undertakings, prompting her to return to Raya for some detective work – focusing on women to see if his profile was active.
The source purported to The Mail On Sunday: “Lily was looking for women that were on Raya and cross-referencing them with women David follows on Instagram to try to figure out who he was seeing.
“Lily only rejoined Raya to try to figure out whether he was seeing someone.”
