Wildfires have wreaked havoc across Los Angeles, destroying numerous homes, including those of high-profile celebrities such as Mark Owen, Paris Hilton, and others. The infernos have forced the evacuation of thousands, with over 1,000 buildings and structures completely reduced to ash. Tragically, several lives have been lost in the fires, described by Paris Hilton as looking like “hell on earth.”

More than 130,000 people have been evacuated, with celebrities taking to social media to share their heartbreaking losses. High winds, reaching speeds of up to 100 mph, have further fueled the flames and initially prevented firefighters from combating the blazes from the air.

The wildfires have also disrupted Hollywood’s awards season. Ceremonies scheduled for this weekend, including the AFI Awards, which were set to honor films such as Wicked and Anora , have been postponed due to safety concerns.

Paris Hilton

Paris revealed the destruction of her waterfront Malibu home in an emotional statement on Instagram. “Heartbroken to find out what happened to my house by seeing that it was burned to the ground on live TV,” she wrote, sharing a clip of the devastation. In a longer post, Paris described the loss as “unimaginable” but expressed gratitude that her family and pets were safe.

“This home was where we built so many precious memories. The devastation is unimaginable.”

The Roseanne actor’s property was completely destroyed, leaving only ashes, charred trees, and a swimming pool. He evacuated before the fire reached his home.

Anthony Hopkins

The actor and his wife, Janice, lost their home of 46 years in Pacific Palisades. In a statement to the PA news agency, they said, “Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation. Every inch of our house was filled with love and memories that can’t be taken away.” A photo shows the charred remains of their home, though a nearby tennis court escaped damage.

The Schitt’s Creek star evacuated his home as smoke and flames threatened the Pacific Palisades area. Speaking to the LA Times , he described the thick, dark smoke from Temescal Canyon.

Mark Owen

Take That’s Mark Owen and his family narrowly escaped the destructive wildfires consuming Los Angeles. His wife shared their ordeal on Instagram:

“Thank you for all your messages and checking in. I can’t quite comprehend what happened here, but we are safe. The hurricane-force winds and lack of water have caused the fire to spread catastrophically fast, devastating our beloved area—schools, homes, shops, and stables are all gone.

“We woke up to helicopters, thick black smoke, howling winds, and uncertainty about whether our house would survive. I wish I had packed better—just grabbing each of their baby shoes would have been something. So many have lost everything, including pets. And it’s nowhere near over. Three active fires are blazing around us, with insufficient water to fight them, and planes are grounded due to the winds.”

Leighton Meester and Adam Brody

Shocking images shared online show Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester and her husband, The O.C. actor Adam Brody, have lost their $6.5 million home. The roof was burned away, windows shattered, and black smoke ravaged the property. The sprawling house, purchased in 2019, featured five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and three floors. The couple, who attended the Golden Globes just days ago, now face the devastating loss.

The hairstylist and OUAI co-owner shared the destruction of her home on Instagram with her 5.3 million followers. She posted a view of the water alongside a photo of the coastline consumed by fire, writing: “Our house is gone.” In an emotional post, she expressed gratitude for her neighbors’ support and optimism: “We’re going to be okay.”

The star of The Hills , broke down as she revealed her Pacific Palisades home was lost in a massive 1,200-acre fire. She, her husband Spencer Pratt, and their two sons evacuated early but lost everything. In an update, Heidi admitted feeling “overwhelmed” as she tried to gather essentials for her family. Fighting tears, she called it a “blessing” to have been able to save anything and expressed gratitude for her family’s safety.

Tina Knowles

Beyoncé’s mother, shared her grief over losing her Malibu home, which she called her “sacred Happy Place.” Posting a photo of the sunset view from her property, she wrote:
“This was my sanctuary, my favorite place, and now it’s gone. God bless all the brave men and women in our fire department who risked their lives in dangerous conditions. Without their dedication, this could have been so much worse.”
