A young mother accused of murdering her baby girl has been photographed cuddling a cat in new images released today.
Kinga Wydrzynska, 24, and her partner Michal Stasiak, 26, face charges of killing one-year-old Isabella Stasiak in Rugby, Warwickshire.
They appeared at Coventry Magistrates Court this morning to face allegations of murder and causing or allowing the death of a child. Stasiak has also been accused of possessing indecent photographs of a child.
During the court proceedings, they only provided their names, dates of birth, and addresses. On January 7, little Isabella was rushed to the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest at Wydrzynska’s residence in Johnson Avenue, where she tragically passed away.
The couple has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Warwick Crown Court on Monday, according to Warwickshire Police.
The police force previously stated: “At 4.37am on Tuesday (7 January) we received a report of a baby in cardiac arrest at a house in the New Bilton area of Rugby. The baby was taken to hospital but sadly died. Anyone with information that could help police with their enquires can go to www.warwickshire.police.uk/report or call 101. West Midlands Ambulance Service was dispatched to a dire medical event at a residence in Rugby in the early hours of Tuesday morning, reports the Mirror.
The emergency call, received at around 4.38am, saw two ambulances and a paramedic officer race to an address where they encountered an infant fighting for life. In a desperate effort to save the child, advanced medical interventions were applied on-site before a swift transfer to the hospital was made under emergency protocols.
A statement read: “We were called to a medical emergency at a private address in the New Bilton area of Rugby at 4.38am on Tuesday (7th January). Two ambulances and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews found a baby in a critical condition. Ambulance staff administered advanced life support before taking the patient to hospital under emergency conditions.”
