With temperatures dropping to their lowest level in January since 2010 this week, it’s no surprise that people are looking at ways they can bolster their winter wardrobe.
From hats and scarves to big, padded coats, shoppers are taking advantage of the January sales to make sure they are wrapped up when pounding the icy pavement.

The £65 boots are available in three colours – black, chocolate brown, and neutral – as well as standard and extra wide fit, and have been hailed as “super comfy”. Next say the Forever Comfort® Leather Lace-Up Boots are the “cornerstone to winter looks” but praised their “versatility” for use year-round, especially during festival season.
The product description says the boots “have a leather upper with a lace-up fastening and a round toe, boasting a Forever Comfort® cushioned footbed and a durable cleated sole.”
Next shoppers were delighted with the boots, which have a 4.5 star rating on the retail giant’s website. Customers praised their comfort, look, and fit.
One person, who gave a five-star review, said: “Really pleased, good quality. Soft fit. Nice leather. Look smart.” Another described them as “super comfortable”.
A third happy customer wrote: “Been trying to find boots for ages and finally found these boots which fit me really well. I like how easy they are to put on with the zip but also adjustable with the laces. They look really nice, are really comfortable and good quality.”
Someone else added: “So comfy, fit true to size, love them.” While a fifth person hailed the boots as “very waterproof”.
But not everyone was as impressed, with one shopper complaining about how they fitted. They said: “They are a weird fit in the centre of the lace up panel and it rubs my foot. Wished I’d worn them around the house first like I normally do. Nice boots, just too narrow at the centre of the lace panel.”
