A new year brings with it new hopes, dreams, and ambitions. Whether it’s earning that sought after promotion at work or moving house, there are many ways we can bring our wants into reality for a fruitful 2025.

Action is important, but there are other ways we can achieve our goals. In the case of celebrity hypnotist Paul McKenna, the best way is “very simple visualisation”.

Appearing on This Morning recently, the ex radio DJ, who has worked with the likes of James Corden and Stephen Fry, suggested a technique that could see the next 12 months be your best yet.

“If it’s safe to do, close your eyes,” Paul said. “Imagine we’re travelling one year into the future… and you’ve had one of the best years of your life, if not the best year.

“If that’s true, what must have happened in regard to your health, both mental and physical… in regard to your relationships personal and professional? Your career and your finances?

“What are your general levels of happiness like? What do you see? What do you hear? How do you feel? Get a really sensory rich experience of that.”

He went on: “Let your unconscious mind think this is what you want. Now this is the next bit – keep that there in the future, but I’d like you to float back… say three months, and just ask yourself what happened before that? Three months before that? Get a sense of the journey.”

Paul asks viewers to keep coming back another three months, and another three months, all the time getting a sense of what’s happened, all the way back to present day.

“Now you can look at yourself in three, six, nine, 12 months from now and see yourself in each of those times – healthy, happy, and successful,” the TV guru assured.

“And as you concentrate on this every day, you’re likely to bring this into reality. That’s how you do it.”

Brits at home were totally taken with Paul’s sage advice. Taking to the comments on TikTok, one person gushed: “I totally understand this. I don’t think many people do but once it clicks, it’s amazing.”

Another raved: “Love this. Tried it and all aspects of my life are looking pretty good but reachable,” while a third concluded: “Love Paul McKenna”.
