Brenda Edwards was left speechless on Loose Women due to a quip from her colleague Linda Robson. During a panel discussion about hair loss with I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Jane Moore, Janet Street-Porter, Brenda, and Linda, the conversation took an unexpected turn.
On the episode broadcast on Monday (January 13), Janet disgusted viewers when she admitted to washing her hair only once during “three weeks over Christmas”, attributing it to a health issue that caused her hair to thin, leading her to wash it less frequently.
Liverpool Echo reports Brenda related to the topic by sharing that Afro-hair requires similar care, particularly since she experienced alopecia due to stress after her grandmother’s death.
However, the mood shifted dramatically when Linda shared her own hair loss experience, saying: “It all depends if I’m going somewhere then I wash my hair and do it.”
Linda, known for her role in Birds Of A Feather, continued: “I’ve got really dry hair now, really dry scalp now,” before shocking everyone with her follow-up remark: “I’ve got really dry everywhere now actually.”
The comment left Brenda visibly shocked as she covered her face in disbelief, while Janet seemed unimpressed, shaking her head alongside host Jane.
The audience erupted in laughter and applause as Janet confronted Linda about her risque comment, asking: “Why do you feel the need? ”
Jane, trying to regain control of the situation by speaking over their bickering, saying: “That is a whole other topic so I’ve got to move it on now.”
Despite her efforts to steer the conversation from “From washing hair, to washing machines,” the studio remained noisy. Brenda was seen with her face down on the desk, struggling to suppress her laughter, which only served to further disrupt Jane’s attempts at control.
Jane responded: “Brenda’s completely gone, so I’m going to come to you first Linda.” Despite her best efforts, Brenda’s laughter persisted, eventually turning into tears.
Reaching for a tissue to wipe away her tears, Brenda was unable to regain her composure. The TV star was still in fits of laughter as the show came to an end.
