Anytime you talk to someone it seems as though they, or someone they know, is trying out the newest weight loss scheme, especially at the beginning of a new year. Most people would like to shift a few pounds here and there, but many of us struggle to stick to a regimented plan.

However, what if we change our mindset from taking on the next extreme weight loss routine and actually made realistic changes instead? A podcast host has done just that as she shared her straightforward approach to losing weight on TikTok.

Relationship coach and content creator Norah Harts, was able drop 15 pounds in three weeks by making minor but effective changes to her lifestyle, reports Surrey Live. In the video, she said: “Listen, I’m lazy, okay? I’m not going to do any of that. It was really just some really small lifestyle changes.”

In her “lazy” method to losing weight, Norah highlighted that a significant factor in her diet change was not just cutting down on alcohol, but eliminating it from her life completely. She confessed: “I was drinking way too much and I noticed it was taking a toll on my physical health.”

Another tip is reducing the amount of times you eat out. Instead, Norah has taken a liking to one certain low-calorie meal. She said: “One of my favourites right now is the crispy Caesar salad, because I don’t like grilled chicken that much. A whole serving that makes me full is only 250 calories.”

The exercise of choice in her “lazy” method is running, despite never being a runner before. She added: “As somebody who has never been able to run for more than two minutes in her entire life. The first day I could barely run one mile, this morning I ran two miles. I just feel so proud of myself.

“From somebody that’s lazy, I didn’t think I’d be able to have fun and run and workout in that way. That’s what I do to work out. I’ll go to the gym, don’t lift weights, as of right now I’m just running.”

Norah’s video has gone viral, with it being viewed 1.1 million times at time of reporting. Many supporters of Norah’s journey have commented about their own experiences, highlighting that different strategies work for different people.

One commenter said: “Girlllll alcohol had a huggggge impact on me. I’m not tired anymore, I can get up at 4am to workout now. The difference I’ve seen in just my self!!”

One commenter suggested: Try Pilates 30 minutes a day, it’s helped me improve my mood, helped me get active, and make me happy,” while another mentioned: “Also dancing is a GREAT workout!! burns so many calories and its soooo fun to do.”
