Another Coronation Street star has confirmed his exit from the show.
Fans of the iconic soap are devastated after actor Seamus McGoff has confirmed he has left the show on social media, amid the ongoing cast exodus.
Seamus who plays Matty Radcliffe on the ITV show took to Instagram to announce his departure from the soap saying his character had gone “out with a bang!” and the final scenes have already aired.
Matty was involved in a knife crime storyline that involved his brother Mason (Luca Toolan) getting knifed to death by their older brother Logan (Harry Lowbridge).
In his final scenes, Matty was in a prison visiting room waiting to see his girlfriend, although his girlfriend didn’t show up and Matty became aggressive and didn’t like the way Bobby Donovan looked at him.
Before Matty grabbed a knife and threatened to hurt Bobby, with his dad Rob Donovan (Mark Baylis) stepping in and defusing the situation. Once the situation was undercontrol, Matty was seen being sent to solitary confinement after holding a prison guard hostage.
Fans were quick to reply Seamus’s departure post, with one fan writing: “You ain’t done already are you!?!” and another commented: “Don’t tell me that is your last scene?”
