A road closure in Bonkle has been confirmed by the council’s roads department.
Allanton Road will have temporary restrictions from January 27 to 31 for carriageway patching and drainage improvement works.
Vehicular and pedestrian access will be permitted where practical during the closure.
Vehicles on the east side of the closure wishing access to the west side of the closure should proceed via Allanton Road, A71, A71 Morningside Road and Bonkle Road.
Vehicles on the west side of the closure wishing access to the east side of the closure should proceed vice versa.
Meanwhile, North Kilmeny Crescent in Coltness will be closed on Tuesday, January 28, to allow for Scottish Water manhole repairs to be carried out.
Vehicular and pedestrian access will be permitted where practical during the closure.
Vehicles on the south side of the road closure wishing to access the north side of the road closure should proceed via North Kilmeny Crescent, Duns Crescent and North Kilmeny Crescent.
Vehicles on the north side of the closure wishing to access the south side of the road closure should proceed vice versa.
Vehicles on Linden Avenue wishing to access North Kilmeny Crescent should proceed via Duns Crescent and North Kilmeny Crescent.
