A Connecticut teen has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 17-year-old Daily Jackson Jr., an incident authorities believed is linked to the fatal shooting of another teen back in November.

Police said Jackson was friends with 16-year-old Uzziah Shell, who was shot on Nov. 22. in the area of Goffe and Hudson streets in the Dixwell section of the city. Shell, also a student at Riverside Academy, had just finished up classes for the day when he was fatally struck, police said. A passing school bus was also hit by the gunfire, but no one onboard was injured.

Investigators have previously said they believe the deadly violence is connected, but they have not said why. A press conference on the matter is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
