MANILA, Ark. (KAIT/Gray News) – Police in Arkansas say they used a shipping label to track down a man accused of boxing up three puppies and dumping them at an area car wash.
The Manila Police Department said officers arrested 20-year-old Jeremy Roberts on three counts of cruelty to animals Tuesday after finding the puppies in a box at Wagner Car Wash on Highway 18.
According to the arrest report, the 2-month-old puppies were left in a box in one of the wash bays.
Officer Ronald Amick noted in his report that there was a shipping label attached to the box and that the label included Roberts’ name and address.
Amick and Sgt. Holt went to the address on the label and spoke with Roberts.
“After talking with Roberts about the incident, he admitted to dumping the dogs,” Amick shared.
Roberts was taken into police custody and transported to the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office.
