The software company moved its headquarters to The Arboretum in 2015 before going public in 2021.

AUSTIN, Texas — A longtime Austin software company has quietly relocated to North Texas.

Filings show E2open, which creates supply chain management software for inventory and demand planning, left The Arboretum area for the Dallas suburb of Addison last fall.

The move, first reported by the Austin Business Journal, went into effect on Sept. 16, 2024, with E2open claiming the Dallas area as home since.

Founded in 2000, E2open moved its headquarters to Austin in 2015. It eventually went public in 2021. According to the Austin Business Journal, the organization connects more than 480,000 manufacturers, logistics and distribution companies to a network that tracks more than 16 billion transactions every year.

Before its move, records from February 2024 show E2open had 3,971 full-time employees worldwide across 21 corporate offices, one of which was located in Dallas. During an earnings call in October 2024, Chief Financial Officer Marje Armstrong said E2open was in the middle of a facilities cost reduction plan, but it’s unclear how many employees were affected by the move from Austin to Addison.

For its last fiscal year, E2open had a gross profit of more than $317 million. On Friday, the company was trading around $2.57, a stark drop from its 52-week high of $5.08.
